Technical Sales - Foundry Products

Location :

Position will work from a home office in the midwestern U.S.. 

Compensation :

The compensation will be consist of base salary commensurate with experience PLUS bonus potential PLUS excellent benefits PLUS car allowance. 

Opportunity Summary :

We’re partnering with a global leader in foundry feeder systems to hire a Territory Manager (Midwest, home-office) . In this consultative role, you’ll help foundries boost yield, cut scrap, and lower costs by recommending the right feeder solutions. If you know casting processes and enjoy technical selling, you’ll love the impact: feeders (riser sleeves) act as molten-metal reservoirs that prevent shrinkage defects—meaning stronger, higher-quality parts for customers in automotive, construction, and heavy equipment.

Job Duties :

• Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate feeder business and corporate goals and monitors and evaluates competitors activities and products.
• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Monitors market condition and works closely with business development/marketing/sales/management to assure customer needs are met and that the company has adequate information to maximize profitability across all product lines.
• Analyzes sales reports and statistics to assist direct sales and distributors in promoting sales.
• Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative and distributors with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals regularly.
• Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
• Direct sales representation and sales support to promote company's Feeders and Auxiliary products.
• Planning, organizing, assigning, and coordinating work in conjunction with both direct sales representatives and distributors within sales territory, including addressing complaints and timely resolving problems.
• Develop, managing and assume responsibility for the sales budget and sales revenue/profit/growth for the feeder market in the assigned region.
• Act as coordinating liaison between the Business Development Manager, Feeder Specialist, technical field service, sales department, distributors, customer service, manufacturing, and other departments within the organization to grow the feeder business and general foundry business.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Commercial Sales.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial sales within the foundry industry or Foundry supply company required. Experience with feeder products and technology preferred.
• Basic understanding of the interworks of molding/core making and metal processes, foundry gating systems and risering fundamentals.
• Experience with simulation software a plus.
• Ability to pass a driving record background check (minimal moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.). U.S. Passport required or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Travel is required up to 75%, including overnight stays. U.S. Passport required for travel to Mexico.
