Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive product vision, backlog management, and delivery of software solutions within an Agile/SAFe environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, designers, QA, and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute product vision, strategy, roadmap, and business objectives.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with business goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria and actionable requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between product management, technology leads, development teams, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning activities.
  • Ensure the development team has well-defined and prioritized stories ready for upcoming sprints.
  • Provide clarification and guidance to development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, blockers, issues, and action items while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Track product performance, KPIs, and delivery progress to ensure business value is achieved.
  • Maintain Jira backlog hygiene, documentation, dashboards, reports, and release management activities.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback, analyze user needs, and identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by participating in retrospectives and implementing process enhancements.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication across technical and business teams.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, Agile practices, and emerging technologies to support product innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Product Owner supporting software development teams.
  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum and SAFe environments.
  • Experience with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is preferred.
  • Expertise in creating detailed user stories, business requirements, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Advanced experience with Jira, Confluence, and Release Management tools.
  • Experience creating Jira dashboards, filters, reports, and managing backlog workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile technical projects and executive communications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, resolve conflicts, and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other Agile certifications.
  • Experience in cybersecurity domains such as vulnerability management or application security testing.
  • Experience working with Jira, .NET, and Python development teams.
  • Experience writing detailed technical and functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level software products and complex technology initiatives.
