Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is an award-winning, fully integrated architecture and interior design practice with offices in Austin and Houston. Our work is rooted in hospitality and placemaking and includes diverse projects that range from large mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse projects, public realm design, architectural branding, single family homes, hotels, restaurants, workspaces, and bespoke furniture design. We work throughout Texas and across the country in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Denver.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Houston office. This role is ideal for a designer who is ready to take ownership of meaningful portions of a project while continuing to grow their technical, design, and project leadership skills. Working alongside experienced project leaders and design teams, this individual will contribute to projects across a variety of scales and typologies, helping translate design concepts into thoughtful, well-executed spaces and experiences.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in interior design, a passion for creating memorable environments, and a desire to contribute to both the creative and technical aspects of project delivery. They are comfortable collaborating across disciplines, communicating clearly with team members and consultants, and managing their work with increasing independence and accountability.
This is a hybrid position based in Houston, TX, requiring a minimum of three days per week working in person from our Austin office.
