Job Description

This Warehouse Worker role focuses on supporting the returns operation for a K–12 ramp-up in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. You will help ensure that packages are accurately processed, sorted, and moved through the facility so they reach the correct destination on time. The position offers opportunities to work on either first or second shift and to be part of a diverse, collaborative, and energetic team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from trailers and delivery trucks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Sort packages and materials to ensure they are routed to the correct destination within the warehouse.
• Perform packing and packaging tasks for returned items and outbound shipments.
• Pick and stage orders accurately according to established procedures and documentation.
• Handle inventory by counting, organizing, and moving products within the returns area.
• Perform general labor duties including lifting, carrying, and stacking materials as needed.
• Support production and material handling activities to keep workflow moving smoothly.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including checking in and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts when authorized and trained.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area in the returns section.

Work Environment

The position is based in a warehouse environment within the returns section. The work area is fast-paced and physically active, with packages and materials moving continuously through the facility. Overhead fans provide air circulation, but temperatures can be hot in the summer and cooler in the winter months, so you should be comfortable working in varying conditions and wearing appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse setting. You may work on either first or second shift, and you will use typical warehouse tools and equipment, including material handling devices and potentially forklifts when trained.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
