About the Role Our recruiting firm is partnering with a global leader in the powersports, off-road vehicle, motorcycle, snowmobile, and outdoor recreation industry to identify a talented
3D Specialist . This role supports the creation of high-quality digital product experiences for an industry-leading 3D product configurator used by customers worldwide.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Working within a small multidisciplinary team, you will create optimized 3D assets that balance visual quality with real-time performance.
Portfolio of relevant work samples is required for all submissions. Job Description As a
3D Specialist , you will be responsible for creating detailed and efficient 3D models, textures, and digital assets for use in a real-time product visualization environment. You will collaborate closely with artists, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate and visually compelling representations of a wide range of products.
Key Responsibilities - Create high-quality 3D digital assets, including models and associated textures, for use in real-time rendering environments.
- Retrieve and convert CAD models into optimized polygon-based assets through retopology workflows.
- Perform modeling, UV mapping, baking, and texturing tasks to produce production-ready assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, product specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Balance visual fidelity with application performance to ensure optimal user experiences.
- Participate in Agile team processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, progress tracking, and task management within Jira.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and potential roadblocks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support team objectives within a highly collaborative environment.
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Visual Effects (VFX), Digital Media, Computer Animation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using 3D modeling software such as Maya, Modo, or 3ds Max.
- Experience working within game engines such as Unity, Godot, PlayCanvas, or similar real-time platforms.
- Experience with retopology and texture baking workflows.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for texture creation and vector editing.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant 3D modeling, texturing, and visualization work. Required for all submissions.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with PlayCanvas.
- Experience using Marmoset Toolbag.
- Ability to create 3D models and textures from photographs, technical drawings, or point cloud data.
- Understanding of real-time rendering pipelines and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with products and industries related to powersports, motorcycles, off-road vehicles, outdoor recreation, or manufacturing.
