2nd CNC Shift Lead

We are looking for an experienced CNC Mill Shift Lead to join a growing orthopedic manufacturing company. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has both CNC mill operating experience AND previous supervisory/leadership experience. Up to $35/hour.

2nd CNC Shift Lead Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $25.00 to $35.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 02:00pm to 10:30pm )

• Lead and oversee 2nd shift CNC Mill operators and production employees.
• Assign daily work and help ensure production schedules and goals are met.
• Operate and assist with CNC milling machines as needed.
• Support operators with machine, tooling, quality, and production issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting CNC machining problems and minimizing downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Monitor production to ensure parts meet required quality and orthopedic manufacturing standards.
• Train, coach, and provide direction to CNC operators and new employees.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to procedures.
• Communicate production issues, staffing needs, machine concerns, and shift updates to management.

2nd CNC Shift Lead Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory, team lead, or manufacturing leadership experience REQUIRED.
• Previous CNC Mill operating experience REQUIRED.
• Must have strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Must be comfortable providing hands-on assistance to CNC operators.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensions and tolerances. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
